Process Maps

Process maps were developed to better understand the variety in approaches to post-disaster
relief efforts. Process maps were created of several disaster relief operations, with their similarities and differences
noted.  Data was collected from a relief center regarding volunteer arrival and service.  These results inform
quantitative models that can be used to improve volunteer management suggestions offered by the operations
research.
